1. Introduction

rayanezidane.com is run by Rayane Zidane, who is responsible for the personal information collected through it. This policy explains what is collected when you visit the site or get in touch, why it is collected, and the choices you have.

Personal information is handled in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Belgian data protection law.

2. Information we collect

• Information you send us. When you use the contact form or email us: your name, email address, the service you are interested in and your project description.
• Usage data, only if you accept analytics cookies. Pages visited, time on page, device and browser type, and approximate location (country or city), collected by Google Analytics.
• Technical data. Our host, Netlify, records IP addresses and browser details in server logs to deliver the site and keep it secure.
• Spam check on the contact page. Google reCAPTCHA collects your IP address, browser and device details, and how you interact with the page, to tell people from bots.

We don't ask for sensitive information, and the site isn't intended for children.

3. How we use it

• To reply to enquiries, and to prepare and carry out projects. Legal basis: steps you ask for before a contract, and the contract itself.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• To keep the site running and secure, and to keep spam out of the contact form. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a safe, working site.
• To keep accounting records. Legal basis: legal obligation.

We never sell your personal information or use it for advertising.

4. Who processes it

• Netlify, Inc. hosts the site and receives contact form submissions.
• Google LLC provides Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies, and reCAPTCHA on the contact page. Enquiries are also received in a Google (Gmail) inbox. Google's use of reCAPTCHA data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

These providers may store information outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under the GDPR, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Cookies and your choice

Preferences. The site remembers your cookie choice, and whether you closed the announcement bar, in your browser's local storage. These aren't used to track you.

Analytics cookies (optional). Google Analytics sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies, which last up to two years, to tell visits apart. They are only set if you choose Accept.

Spam protection (contact page only). Google reCAPTCHA may set the _GRECAPTCHA cookie, which lasts up to six months, to check that the contact form is sent by a person. It's needed for the form to work, so it doesn't depend on your analytics choice.

On your first visit, a banner asks whether you accept or refuse analytics cookies. Refusing doesn't affect how the site works. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page, or right here:

6. How long we keep it

• Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to reply and to run any project that follows, and afterwards only as required for tax and accounting records.
• Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in Google Analytics, at most 14 months.

7. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and access to form submissions is restricted. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, to restrict or object to how it's used, and to receive a copy in a portable format. You can withdraw your consent to analytics at any time with Cookie settings.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, or with the authority in your own EU country.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
